I am not certain with all that they told me, but apparently the paint they provided was close to the "surf blue" color, which is a modern color. I think mine was a custom mix though, and as such was slightly darker and thus closer to the original deep purple blue.
The formula I reported on the forum is what others should go by if they want this color, not strictly the modern code of surf blue.
