Yes, unless you have the other oil filter that has the reverse flow.
In a discussion on an earlier Forum, it was discovered that there were at least a half-dozen different filter assemblies - as many as three "original options" from the MOPAR Power Wagon Parts Lists and other after market choices. On some, the oil entered at the bottom and on others the oil entered on the side. There were several different filter elements as well and some did not interchange.
