Those are two ways that the spammers use.
They could have used a robot to search for all the emails posted on this site. Or a virus that found it's way into one poster's mailing list. Then the send from their liat, using one of the addresses as the 'sender' while sending from another. It was an innocent party listed a sender in what you originally received. Now you might be getting actual replies.
