If its like the 400 I pulled out of a 76,you will have to have the crank drilled for the pilot bushing.I have been told you can run a 360(not 318) flywheel on a 400.And if anyone would like a 400 truck engine,I would sell the one I have for $50.00 so I can have my shop space back(and to save it from going to the scrap pile).
