I have a special puller ( shown in the picture). The puller end is on a pivot. You set the puller end horizontal push it in to the bushing and seal, turn it over the the puller flops to vertical. Then crank the nut with the puller bar sitting on the hub face or Knuckle face and out comes the bushing and seal. I can pull a bushing/seal quicker than I just typed out how it works. Behind the bushing is a oil seal. The Number is Chicago Rawhide CR 14864 or National NAT 480991.
BEWARE of some reproduction bushings, they are out of spec ! I suggest you call John at Midwest Military, Sid Beck at Ace Surplus or George at Vermont Commercial Salvage.
If you would like to borrow the bushing puller and are willing to return it as soon as you pull the bushings/seals and pay postage both ways, I will loan it to you. Email me with your US Mail Address and out it goes. You can put the cost of my shipping in the box when you return the puller. It will fit in a USPS Flat Rate Box for about $10 bucks each way.
