The truck i just got (the brush truck) had has an alternator in it, but is not hooked up. The distributor had electronic ignition installed, but not connected to anything yet. I put in a standard coil, that needs an external resistor. I will mount that to the fire wall in the usual place. My question is, what needs to be done to get the alternator to charge the system? The voltage regulator has been eliminated, as I believe there is a resistor inside the alternator. It looks like something GM mfg. Also, with the electronic ignition, do I still run the ground to the coil from the ditributor, and the hot to the ballast resistor from the coil? The truck is a 52 B-2PW. There are some pictures of floating around here on the forum somewhere...Thanks alot in advance....chris
