This subject is covered in the "French Dodge Book" DODGE cinq generations de tous terrains. There have also been articles published in the Power Wagon Advertiser as well as presentations at the Vintage Power Wagon Rallies where the subject has been discussed.

After about 1971, the WDX-WM300 style Power-Wagon became less and less "Power-Wagon" as the years went by. First to be changed was the engine and then the body. The Israelis used the Power-Wagon frame, axles, wheels, winch, and front bumper but changed the body to one that actually had flat fenders. Later, the axles, bumper, etc. were replaced with more modern units.

If memory serves me, 1978 saw about the last of the trucks with the old axles, wheels, winch, etc.
