OT: Can you weld cast iron?

I have a water pump housing (for irrigation) with an ever increasing crack. JB weld only works for a couple of days. Brazing? Welding? Pump works fine, but loses it's prime and eventually won't prime. Also have a 53 GMC pick-up with a cracked water jacket.

Oh lets see... the 64 PWTW parking brake cable is all stuck with rust again. Fixed it once by hanging it verticle and trickeling penetrating oil and Marvel Mystery oil down it for weeks. Then sealed it with heat shrink hose and garden hose to protect that. I don't imagine that you can get a replacement anymore? Must have PW content! Gar
