I ran out of gas, I think, yesterday, on the way home from a local antique vehicle get-together.

I hitched a ride back home, got some gas, went back and poured it in. I forgot to save some to pour down the carb. (too many years driving fuel-injected cars to remember these things.)

So, it wouldn't start with just pumping the pedal and pulling the choke. The guy who helped me get the gas put a tow strap on and off we went. I tried putting PW in 3rd and popping the clutch. It started and ran for about 10 seconds, then died again.

It's been pouring rain and 95 degrees out, so I haven't been able to do any work on it. Do you suppose I drew water into the carb, from the bottom of the tank? If I did, and I empty the two glass bowls in the fuel line, will it start with a little gas down the carb, or do I need to do something else to the carb? I don't know much about carbs, so be gentle.

There's a bowl in the line at the output of the pump, and another at the input to the carb.
