I figure the system must work fine since the M-series vehicles were probably the most reliable ever fielded. I was just surprised when I looked at the schematic and it only showed one breaker on the M37, and that for the horn, of all things. I'm also used to looking at old rigs, most of which have frayed and cracked wiring, which I'm sure wasn't a problem during their service life. Nowadays there are a dozen or more fuses in the fuse block of most any vehicle.
