They're flat, although gloss is easier to keep clean (as in wash). Aervoe makes the Dodge OD colors in spray (34087), & you can get a can, make a paint chip & take it in to a local paint store & have em match it. They also make another OD that was used on Jeeps & CCKW's which was also used on small equipment pieces (like helmits & 1st aid boxes). Don't have it's # but it's also listed as a WW II OD Green.
