I have been reading the VPW catalog for years and have attended a few rallies. I have a 62 Town Wagon and 68 Utiline pickup, so I am familiar with old dodges.

My question was relating to looking at the catalog and cross reference guides, and typically, front wheel bearings and seals and shock absorbers are different from front to back.

In addition, I found listings showing the shocks as front and rear in places and others as showing only rear, for the same part number. Now, I haven't dealt much with the full floater corportate axles in the PW and M-37, but have lots of experience with Dana 60 and the 8 and 3/4" corporate axles in the 1/2 tons. On those vehicles, front and back are seldom the same.

Also, I have been trying to deal locally, with the NAPA store here in town, using the cross reference guides. I am double and triple checking part numbers and applications to make sure then when I special order parts, I am truly getting the parts I need.

So, to sum it up, my viewpoint is not to ask questions I can easily get answers for, but to clarify the information that has been collected and published to make sure I use the information properly.

Howard
