Changing them in the truck is not that hard. I have a few spare guides in case you chip one installing a replacement.

Summary,
remove valve springs
remove valve
prevent crud from entering engine internals in lifter area
drive guide down into lifter area 1/2 way using a big hammer with proper tool (looks like a tarp grommet setting tool/punch/ or - 3/8" or so Craftsman socket on extension worked in a pinch when my tool started to bend after 8 guides) I can get you specs to built the factory tool
hit exposed valve guide on side with steel chisel - guide will snap off
drive valve guide down the rest of the way - to factory depth (intake not equal to exhaust) - do 1 cylinder at a time to compare to neighbor cylinders. It you drive it down too far - you cannot save it - knock it out and try again. Which, is another reason why you was a couple extra guides.
Lap, lube, and install valves
Set valve lash
put engine covers/head on
Done.
