It might be possible for you (or anyone else)to get a great deal on one of the non-titled M37's mentioned.
Usually the seller's price is much lower on a non-titled vehicle because of the frequent great hassle a buyer would have to get a title for their vehicle.
Many states, mine included, have no "real" provision for addressing this lost title problem.
Maryland basically said I would have to hire an attorney (at significant expense) to in essence "sue" and compel the state to issue a new title.
However, there is a practical solution.
It is a company called Broadway Title in Alabama.
For $150 I got the paperwork I needed for my state to title my vehicle. It took about 12 weeks, but I got the title legally.
I had bought the M37 very cheaply due in large part to no title. It also was just over the state line in Virginia and I could not "say no".
On the Broadway Title web site they tell you which states their service is legal for. Also you can check your state's laws for such vehicles. A few states do have provisions for lost or non titled vehicles, but many, as I said, put you in a legal limbo for this, and so Broadway is a great service.
