next month or so the deer really start moving around. They are so many deer here its incredible, seldom a day goes by in october and november, in my 10 mile hike to town there is often a fresh kill. infact i have two road kills in my freezer now . i have had a couple of hits myself in my dodge ram van . it sat so high the deer usaully ended up in the grill. Now i drive a mini with air bags . i tried the swerving thing but that has been risky and not effective . Junior copey had a deer go through the front windshield of his car ,the deer did not launch the air bags every body was covered in blood mostly the deers and plenty of scrapes and cuts to the riders luckily no serious injuries . My question is i often see the deer before i hit them ,should i cover my face with my arms. the front of the mini is sloped pefect to put a deer in my face I was wondering if i covered my face and IF the air bags went off i would be worse off with the force of the bags blowing my arms into my head . a nbr taking his kid to hockey hit one, the deer set off the bags and the force took his hand off the steering wheel a blowing his hand into his head knocking him out and breaking his wrist, then unconscious he rolled the truck twice in the ditch any comments ? ~ J
