The earliest information I have obtained on the Suburban (As named in Chrysler literature) is that it was offered in 1931 by the J.T. Cantrell Co. of Huntington NY and then later, in 1933, was called the Westchester Suburban made by the US Body and Forging Co. of Tell City Indiana. They weer offered on both the Dodge and Plymouth chassis. Both of these wood body makers supplied ALL the wood body for all the Town and Counties and the other wood body station wagons till there replacement by the ALL STELL wagon in 1950....NOTE some parts books refer to replacement wood panels being ordered from USHCO Manufacturing Co of Buffalo NY>>>>>

Also remmeber that car/truck companies did NOT make their own bodies. This was the job of the caoch builder. In the case of Chrysler it was LeBarron, Fisher ( YES the GM name but they were not part of GM then) and BRIGGS, which made all the bodies till Chrysler bought them out in 1955. Many WOOD bodies wound up on Dodge, Plymouth, Chevrolet, REO, Grahm, White, Ford and so on.... and they carried the name that the BODY BUILDER gave it.
