Some rumors just never die. Phord DOES NOT own Cummins. At one time they held about 10% of Cummins stock but sold it when they got out of the heavy duty truck business. For everything you ever wanted to know about the new Rams, go to www.turbodieselregister.com and get on the forum there. The six speed is the only way to go on a transmission. As for the electronics, you're going to get that no matter what you buy now. Thank the EPA for that. If I were in the market for a new one I'd still have to go with the Cummins. Best damn engine thats ever been put in a light duty truck. The fact that it comes wrapped in a Dodge is nice too.
