Thanks guys. I bought my first multimeter just for this project. I had always borrowed one in the past. I figured being 50 years old it's about time to get my own. $30 at Orchard Supply. Anyway the battery reads 12.5 at idle and gets up to 14.5 at high idle. This is a high output 94 amp alt from a Camaro. I think everything is ok. I'm really proud of the mounting. I used 1/4 steel along with the original lower mount. Of course I had to clean and repaint the battery holder. I can't believe it's still in good shape after 50 years of battery's sitting on it.
