The rims are probably six lug Budd disc wheels like the ones on my TD 20. They are very similar to the 1940 VC wheels but with an extra hole, and apparently only fit the 1 ton running gear as smaller and larger trucks all seem to have five lug units.
What's the engineering code on the engine serial ? Mine is a T72, but I've seen T116 mentioned in connection with some of the Canada-bound trucks
