Chad Taylorin Mount Pleasant, Utah built a swivel frame truck this past winter and did some extreme wheeling with it. I was riding in it when he slid off a large rock and got stuffed into another large rock. The rear differential swivelled up until the left rear tire was nearly horizontal and even with the rear window of the cab. He put it into reverse and simply backed out of the "tight spot". At Easter, he also had this same truck on the Golden Spike Trail at Moab, Utah, where he tore the rear drive shaft in two, caused by having too much freedom to swivel which put the driveshaft into a bad bind. He used a mid seventies Dodge 3/4 ton frame and axles to make the unit, with a spindle and hub from the front of a two-ton truck. He did put a 1950 Chev cab and fron clip on it though. It was a very interesting truck to watch in action.
