A lot of reasons to trailer her, but by far load reduction (weight of trailer) is simplified if you use a GOOD towbar or a tow dolly. I would put a set of well used tires on front that you can inflate to the max safe limit (creates a crown, allowing improved cornering) and remove the front bumper, attaching the bar to the two holes in the frame member.
DON'T even think of a SMALL towbar, I snapped one in two rounding a corner at the bottom of an off ramp, had them weld reinforcements into the bar to continue. (Lucky)
Pull the axle shafts and pop the front hubs off (I made covers for the hubs out of wood) and she's free to roll. Remember lights as well. Tie the steering wheel loosely, allowing for no more than 1/2 turn, just enought to begin turning and recover when straightening.

If you use house trailer axles, the brakes can be updated, as well as the tires, and the bearings, etc. Not the 100% solution for a Great trailer, they are fine for local use trailers. Also, you have to worry about tracking correctly in the trailer if your home building. (Plus registration, insurance, inspection....$$$)
One way tow?, save the dough!

PS: Fill the bed of your truck with heavy goodies, nothing in the tow vehicle. This gives more command to pull around the corners and brake the load. WAW
