I will be removing the PTO from my 53 B-3-PW and I will put on the proper cover with a new
gasket that I will cut to size.
I am considering using 1/16" cork gasket material for the job.
Q-Is this a good choice???

I would also like to refill the trans with out having to take it out. I see that the filler plug is
approximately in the middle of the trans housing.
Q-Am I correct in assuming that it is okay to fill the trans to this halfway point???
Q-Will the gears be properly lubricated???
Q-Or should the trans be removed to get more oil in???

If it is okay to fill the trans while it is in place, I will modify a funnel to go through the slots
in the floor to get the oil in the trans.
Q-Is there any trick tool out there for the job?? I am using 140 as per Vaughn's advice.
Q-how many quarts does the trans hold??? I have two fresh quarts ready to go.
Thanks in advance, Mark

Also looking for a good carb rebuilder in Northern N.J./Southern N.Y. state area.
