I believe that you will have to modify the floor pan to clear the transfer case. I used a 1987 D-150 body on my 1991 Cummins Turbo Diesel 4X4 truck frame and running gear. Nearly everything interchanged easily, but I had to cut the floor pan out of both cabs and rivet the floor pan from the 4X4 into the 2X4 cab. It only took about 4 hours once I had the interiors stripped. Good luck with your project.
