Hi Rob....

Can you share some of your experience in converting your 251 block to 265???

I have been collecting parts for a similar project... have a couple of 251 blocks.... looking for the crank with your numbers will be easier ... did not realize the rods would be diferent???
Are there any visible difference in their shape and form???? When you installed the 265 crank in the 251 block did you have any clearance problems??? such as inner webs in the block that had to be grinded/releived??

Did you bore out the block for more cubes???? old racers use to get over 275 from them!!! Any idea on the availability of stock oversize pistons???

Sorry to plug you with so many question but you are the first in quite a few forums to mention you conversion.

Would welcome any other suggestions ... thing to look for!!! or avoid!!!

Thanks for sharing this information....I am sure other Forum members will also appreciate it.

Bob C.
