OK I checked fuel pressure and it was 12 pounds. Way to much. So I took the pump off and found 1 of the little springs at the fuel outlet to the carb not in its right spot on top of the little disc covering the hole. Cleaned things up and tried again. Its 8 pounds. Runs a little better does not flood. But it still runs rich and no control over mixture screw. If I clamp the fuel line before the pump it clears up runs smooth. What should the max fuel pressure be. I think 8 is to high. The carb was cleaned out and all the holes were blown out with shop air. Should i get a regulator?? But my other WC has the same kind of pump and no problem with the fuel system. No regulator??? Just driving me crazy. Keep the ideas comming. Thanks. Bill.
