M-37 front brakes and hubs

The 62 M-37 should be here tomorrow morning. I have taken it for a test ride and it seems to run and drive OK, but the PO has disconnected the front brakes due to poor conditions of wheel cylinders and front brake hoses.

So, the first job is to get the front brakes working. VPW has shoes, wheel cylinders, brake hoses, and other brake hardware as needed.

It has been a good 15 years since I last took a "conventional" four wheel drive apart, and I have a few questions. The locking nut for the front wheel bearings. Can I walk that off with a chisel, or do I need the special socket. I have couple of the special sockets for various other trucks lying around (like my last conventional four wheel drive, a Toyota Land Cruiser).

I assume the gaskets, seals, and front wheel bearings for the front can be cross-indexed from FFPW parts or do we have a convenient parts list for these items I can bring down to NAPA?

Thanks in advance.

Howard
