We were getting regular emails in our design center being sent as a blanket to EVERYONE in the company, our parent company, and all of its affiliates. Basically, everyone in the corporate email database was receiving them. These emails had absolutely nothing to do with our work as an engineering company. From the text, I figured they were coming from one of the blood sucking recruiters in one of our sister companies. Admin would send out an apology email after each instance stating that the preceding email was not intended for us and to ignore it.
One day, I had enough. I responded to an email, and to everyone it was sent to, with the following: "DUDE, take me off your mailing list."
Within a minute I learned that the "Dude" was one of the corporate vice presidents......
Now everyone knows me.
Be careful who you call "Dude".
