Are the early "up to" type and later "after" type transmissions interchangeable on the 230 engines?
I saw on the T137 website that the transmission casting number for the "up to" type is listed as C-38126 and the "after" type is C-38711. Is this always the case? I've got a WDX with a casting number of 38149 and no "C". The engine was a government transplant so the transmission may have been changed out too. My tranny needs parts so I need to find out what I've got. Any ideas? It's got a PTO on the driver's side and a plate on the passenger side as it should.
