My "guess" would be.....simplicity. The basic nature of the Power Wagon exudes simplicity. Aside from that, it's always better to position the truck, if possible, so that the line is straight away from the winch, in line with the truck. Or use a snatch block to straighten the cable, by means of a tree or another anchor. Unless you are stuck and there is no other choice, in which case the winching process probably would not be so long as to cause excessive buildup. If it does buildup, you might have to re-connect and reduce the pile of cable on one side. But that's really irrelevant, because everyone knows you can't get a Power Wagon stuck....right??
