There used to be a brass one available, then you could run a pressure cap on a non-pressure system.

I made one from 1/2" aluminum. Hole saw the center out, make it big enough for the center plunger of the cap, so it can relieve vacuum when things col. Saw the outside to an octagon, so overflow can get out the overflow tube. I use a woodworker's band saw to cut aluminum, quite often. Use rubberized cork gasket material to make a gasket for under the spacer.

Wah-La, now you can use a more readily available cap, and have an extra 12 degrees of boilover protection.
