Actually, Waco is not very west. From Waco, it's 1500 miles to Disney Land, California; and 1200 miles to Disney World, Florida. Using these places as approximate markers for the east and west coasts puts Waco 150 miles east of center.
But, you will drive through the town of West, Texas, on I-35 a few miles north of Waco.
Enjoy your trip and be sure to get some good BBQ and some Tex-Mex while you are in Texas.
