As stated in the previous thread I went to the Baldwin filter store in my town today. Figured what the heck so I took the filter canister with me. With it in hand at the counter the guy (his name is Buster) says well I guess you need a JC 405. Buster says I just may have one here .Lets look in the back. Unfortunately he did not. He states my filter order comes on Thursday if the warehouse has one I can get for you. So Buster calls the warehouse tells the guy he needs a JC 405. I hear him say yes its a good number its in the book. Buster covers the phone smiles at me grins says a young fella on the other end did not think it a was good number.
Someone here says find the oldest guy at the parts store when shopping for Power Wagon parts. Good advise.
Buster told me that the sock type filter was the only thing that would work properly and he did not see any filter that would cross reference to the canister. I said it was cool that he knew what filter I need by just seeing the canister. He said I had the same canister in my 39 Plymouth. See you Thursday Buster.
I hope the filter fits the canister.
