the 241 is a perfect engine and there is
nothing like a HEMI the 270 setup that the
previous owner of our 48 had put together used the fluid drive setup with an extended
input shaft on the tranny so the engine
cleared the firewall i did not buy it from
him and he sold it to David Bemis for installation in a carryall. Norm had put a
354 into the PW but pulled it out after a
very short period as the torque was too much
and twisted the rear drive shaft and snapped
axles so the original 230 was re-installed with no evidence that the other engine was
ever there.
one thing for sure - if you are ever at any
kind of show and you were lined up with other
Power wagons all the attention would be directed to the HEMI
there were some very nice photos a few years
back of a green PW in Hawaii with a hemi perhaps someone has them
PS I think the 354 hemi is still available
will ask norm next time I talk with him
he is located in Las Vegas
