Excellent Paul, absolutely an excellent account. Thank you for your efforts.

Now I understand what a Military Junior filter is and how it works. Your experience in finding the Military Junior on several of your trucks, up to and including 1958, is very interesting and somewhat parallel to my own experience. All of the 6 trucks I have owned, 1947 WDX through 1952 B3PW, were equipped with the Deluxe Clean Oil system with “sock” filter element. It just goes to show you that the powers at Dodge must have had a sense of humor.

I particularly like your photo showing the Military Junior top in the foreground with the image of the canister on your computer in the background. To me, it conveys in a new light your determination to document the facts.
