Maybe Eric can help with some input from some Salesman's Specifications Manuals.

The newest piece of sales literature where I see the belt pulley drive option was from 1957. 1960 was the last year these parts were shown in a Parts List.

1961 saw the introduction of the 251 engine in the Power-Wagon. With this came changes in the engine head, water pump, radiator, and carburetor. I believe if the tailshaft, pulley drive, and mechanical governor had been carried over into 1961, several new part numbers would have been created for needed design changes in attaching parts and linkages. There is no evidence of new numbers in any 1961 or later Parts List. Also, none of the old numbers were shown from 1961 on. Everything I have seen to date, points to 1960 as the last year for availability of these components on a new truck.

Adjusting the components to operate correctly on an early truck is a challenge in itself. Trying to adapt them to a later truck would not be a plug and play operation.
