Strange W500 Wheels??

Does anyone know how the tires come off a 68 W500? They look like regular 20" split ring Budd rims but there is no split in the ring??
I haven't taken them off the truck & examined them but I was just having a look to see if the rings were nice & dent free when I noticed there was no split??
