Then there were long neck radiators. That is the combination on my '53.

In order to use that combination, you'll need a 1/2" thick spacer, with an 1/8" cork gasket underneath. I don't know whether VPW has them, so I made one.

I used aluminum, and cut it with hole saws. Plus, cut some flats on the out side, so overflow can run into the drain tube. But maybe sawing an octagon on a wood worker's band saw, sanding nearly round on a disc sander, then drilling with a spade bit would do as well. I make a lot of aluminum parts that way.

Pressure adds 3 degrees of boil over protection per pound, so the 4 psi cap with 50/50 antifreeze is good for ummm 235?
