I asked because I have been through Riverton when I had a friend living there. As I came from the southeast I couldn't figure out why a retired military officer would choose to live in such a remote place with not much around when he could choose to live anywhere. Then the country started changing and I came alongside the Wind river and could see the beautiful mountains in the distance and I could see why. Gorgeous country in that area.
We have a Wind river not too many miles from where I live outside Vancouver, WA and they look very similar although ours is about 40% larger but looks much the same otherwise.
