200 vs 205, not much improvement?

From the pics, the gears look about the same size, and both are helical. The 200 has heavydamn tapered roller bearings, while the 205 has balls for thrust and many needles. The 205 ought to run cooler since balls have less friction than tapered rollers. 205 would be lots easier to assemble, with less/easier shimming required. The 205 runs cooler at higher speeds too, so is good for a freeway runner.

Looks like long term, part availability might make the swap viable. I guesss I'll see if the owner will part with it, and keep it as a spare. Oh, he has a Brownie too, that he can't use...

Looks like I'll have to do the seals in my 200.
