I keep plugging away on my pile of parts and it keeps fighting me at every turn . my latest little screw up was when my local supplier sent me flux core stainless wire and I spent hours trying to get it to work thinking it was straight stainless . What i thought was the crappiest welds on earth turned out to be the darn flux.
I reversed the polarity and it works ok but I hate the stuff and have to wait a week for the good wire to arrive.
such is life.
