The only major difference I see is the lack of Fairlead...

Otherwise the 1958-60 and 1961-71 W500 winch bumpers are much the same.

Here are a few more images to look at:

1956 HW

1958 W500

Another 1958 W500

Now I have looked at some of these trucks in person, and I know the 1958-60 W500 winch extensions, and other details are different then the 1961-71 W500s, but the images do show the same general style of bumper.

In my experience the bumpers work as follows in the 1961-71 era:

D100-D200-W100-W200 (no winch)

W100-W200 with winch, and W300
(with or without winch), D300, D400, D500, W500

W500 with winch

Obviously I may be missing some detail, and I did not mention the 1961-66 Town Wagons which used a different bumper, but the same one on D100 and W100 Town Wagons. Winch W100 Town Wagons got the same bumper as the standard pickup W100 with a winch.

It is easy to get confused when dealing with something as rare and outside the norm as the W500 winch bumper. I did not understand it right away either when I first saw one.
