Turning the fuel up & bigger injectors etc don't help mileage...for obvious reasons but if your injectors are bad, or your pump is bad...those can effect efficiency.
If mileage is your main goal, install new Bosch injectors...I think they're called 180's on the First Gen's. If your pump is leaking...have it looked at & repaired. If you have good willpower, have them turn the fuel up & advance the timing of the pump at that time...if you have a lead foot, have them put it back stock :)
A turbo upgrade is a great idea for mpg. A modified HX35 is what you want for a 92.
I'd call Mark @ PDR in Vancouver. They have what you want & can set you up with someone in AB that'll install it if you're not familiar with it all.
Intake & Exhaust are the only real modifications that'll save you fuel. A more efficient turbo, bigger exhaust & jettison the muffler :)
