I freely admit to not knowing in this case, I had heard that Dodge sourced the same tranny from 1998.5 to 2002, despite the fact that New Venture came out with an upgrade.
I do know that aftermarket suppliers (like the guy that sold conversions for the 1st gen trucks, in MT, right?) used the upgraded tranny. I think that is where I heard that Dodge kept using the original design.
Does anyone know for sure?
