i rebuilt the engine in my allis chalmers tractor i had to remove the clutch to change the rear main seal> i never had adjusted this clutch in twenty years it worked well > it has a wet clutch behind the dry clutch that i use more > when i removed the clutch i marked everything > and you cannot put the disk in backwards because there is hydraulic pump that is driven by the pressure plate>so its impossible to put the disk in wrong > the clutch peddle goes straight to the floor with out any resistance > have tried to adjust it but i cant see why i would need to as i never had a problem with this before > the clutch was as good as a new clutch in its original form and so was the throw out bearing and pilot bearing > so they were not changed out > it was a case of re and re the clutch and i took great care in the matter > i have pulled it 4 times and checked every thing and there seems to no explaination to me why the thing does not work even cosidering the fact i have adjusted both ways to make sure i had been adjusting the right way ? ~J
