this should be a no prob fix remove the carrier (diff) your half way there now any way find a competant machine shop 3 options are available 1) drill out and retap holes 2) have heli coils installed in the bolt holes 3) plug weld ( i prefer a mig very hard) and drill and tap back to original thread > the last option i have used on monster stuff like jack shafts on euclids never failed or leaked > i would expect a couple hundred bucks to see your way clear ~J
