I agree with Vaughn. I have a 74 W200 with a 383 and snow plow. It would always run the battery down especially when plowing at night. So I upgraded to a 70 amp and it was a little better, but still not enough. So then added a second battery and still wasn't satisfied. Finally I went to a 100 amp alternator with a battery isolator and it works great. Bear in mind the 100 amp alternators usually require a higher RPM to effectively charge though and use dual belts. Mopar used the large frame 100 amp alternators on most of the police cars in the 70's. You can still find them and a good source is some of the taxi companies as they wound up buying the old cop cars. If you're doing a lot of idling as in a parade the batteries will still run down.
