Diesels run at full throttle so far as air is concerned. It's the amount of fuel that controls the power. Adding more propane is like turning up the pump, may overload the engine.

So I'm curious too. The gains may be merely from adding more fuel, thereby creating more heat, burning the diesel better. Also burning valves faster... See if the links Paul hinted at have any pyrometer readings? Mileage records?

I see municipal buses with big signs saying they're burning natural gas. I wonder if anybody has tried an aftermarket diesel injector added to a propane bus? What's good for the goose ought to be good for the gander, if you are not just trying to sell golden eggs to the fools.
