Hi Bill,

The Power King Super Traction tires are directional, bias ply tires. They are called tubeless, but everyone runs them with tubes on the PW rims. I have been running them for about 4 years. I have been very satisfied with the performance in a wide variety of conditions. They are great highway tires at about 40 psi for increased gas mileage and ease of steering. They are vey good on the trail at around 20 psi. They fit 9x16 tire chains for serious mud and snow. They can be studded for winter use. The 9x16 is the perfect cmbination for the 230 and 5.86 gearing. Cordovan stopped making these a few years ago. I bought a set in 2004 for $139 each. Now, they are $175 each from the few dealers who have any left. These are government surplus, new, palletized and shrink wrapped. Most still have the stickers on them. A few guys have asked how old they are. I don't know yet, but my thoughts are that with proper tubes and flaps these tires will outperfom most others for years to come. The closest equivalent are the McCreary/STA Superlug that VPW sells for $175 each. If you are leaning towards a pure off-road tire, the Super Swamper SSL and TSL bias ply and radials may be better at over $230 and $250 each.
