Wow. So this is a good thing right? Will the engine gasket kit that VPW sells work for this block even though it says it is for the 237/251 engines? Kaegi Thanks again you have been very helpful in this process so far. By the way we pulled the head off last night and the carbon build up was there, but I don't think it was terrible. The next thing to come off will be the oil pan so we can inspect the connecting rod bearings.......hope they are in good shape. Anybody else out there have an info on this engine that they could share?
