Bob,
The snding unit had the numbers on it by the studs. Were very hard to see,but if not there your on your own.
You must put a resistor in the feed wire from the key to the gauge.
I soldered a 25ohm,5%,6.5 watt,resistor from radio shack in the wire. You can also get a "Standard"Part#RU-100 from nappa or carquest. Standard is the brand name.
It is a heavier load type that can be bolted to the cowl vent braket for a heat sink.
Also remember after you connect the wires and turn on the key,It will take several seconds for the gauge to registor,as this is a bi-metal type gauge.
